MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) - Minsk is celebrating the 958th anniversary of its founding. The festivities kicked off with a flower laying ceremony at the Minsk Hero City Obelisk. The city's authorities, members of foreign delegations, and representatives of public associations took part in the event.
Throughout the day, numerous venues will open across the Belarusian capital where Minsk residents and visitors can spend their time in an interesting and rewarding way. The central hubs for the festive events will be the area near the Palace of Sports and the Victory Park grounds.
Each district of the city has prepared its own local program, including concerts and various activities.
