MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Kyrgyzstan would like to study Belarus’ best practices in the rehabilitation of children and adults, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
During a working meeting between Minister of Labor and Social Protection Andrei Lobovich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev, the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation in the social and labor sphere was acknowledged. The parties discussed prospects for updating the legal framework, particularly the preparation of a new cooperation agreement in this field.
The Kyrgyz side expressed specific interest in the Belarusian experience of establishing and operating rehabilitation centers. The ambassador emphasized the importance of determining the optimal capacity and properly planning the interior spaces of such buildings, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities and children.
Special attention was paid to practical cooperation in the prosthetic and orthopedic field, building upon the existing memorandum between the Belarusian and Kyrgyz centers.
