Kochanova: Belarus eager to further cooperation with Uzbekistan

MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova met with Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva on the sidelines of the regular session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) Council in St. Petersburg, Russia on 21 November, BelTA learned. 

Natalya Kochanova congratulated Tanzila Narbayeva on her election as Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. "We are confident that we will continue our fruitful cooperation for the benefit of our peoples and our countries. Please accept our sincere congratulations. We wish you best of luck, success in your work, and we send our kindest regards to our colleagues, Uzbek friends," Natalya Kochanova said.

According to the speaker, focus is on further cooperation. "We look forward to seeing you, your colleagues, the delegation at the third women's forum. We have already decided on the venue: it will be Vitebsk Oblast, the city of Vitebsk," Natalya Kochanova emphasized.

The speaker added that the third Belarusian-Uzbek women's business forum will be held in August next year.

The speaker noted that 2025 will mark the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. "We will be happy to see children from Uzbekistan at the events of the Memory Train project in 2025. We appreciate your participation in the project this year," she added.
