MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Minsk is hosting the International Forum on Economic Cooperation for the fourth time. The forum is timed to the celebration of the city’s 958th anniversary, BelTA has learned.
The capital traditionally brings together partners to strengthen international economic ties. The forum serves as a key platform for dialogue between the private sector and the government, establishing new contacts and developing existing ones. This year, it is attended by representatives from 27 countries and 15 regions of Russia.
As Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev noted, the Forum on Economic Cooperation is a platform that unites like-minded people who care about the development of their cities and countries. The event has become a good tradition for the capital and attracts more and more participants interested in exploring Minsk’s potential every year.
“The task of any forum and municipal authorities is to create conditions for interaction. There are no unsolvable issues. The main thing is the desire to solve them,” Vladimir Kukharev believes.
The theme of the plenary session is the city’s potential in economy, tourism, and healthcare. As a result of the session, documents will be signed to promote international cooperation. In the first half of the day, the heads of delegations who arrived for the Minsk City Day celebrations visited the Minsk City Technopark, where its residents presented their production.
After the plenary session, the work will continue during panel sessions titled as Regional and International Cooperation with Minsk; Investment, Innovation, Technology; Business Practice and Export. The forum will feature B2B negotiations for the parties to discuss pressing issues of interaction and to reach concrete agreements.
The forum is organized by the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
