MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - The farewell ceremony for Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, who died suddenly on 26 November, is held in the Officers' House in Minsk on 29 November, BelTA has learned.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko was the first to pay tribute to Vladimir Makei.
Vladimir Makei's family and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the ceremony.
Senior officials, heads of ministries and departments, government agencies came to bid farewell to the late head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was also attended by State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Dmitry Mezentsev and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, Special Envoy of Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Péter Sztáray, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Rudenko of Russia.
Vladimir Makei was buried at the Vostochnoye Cemetery in Minsk.
