MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – In the latest episode of BelTA’s project The Nation Speaks, Aleksandr Davydovsky, Secretary of the BRSM Youth Union Central Committee and delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress, discussed the role of young people in implementing the socio-economic development program until 2030, which is expected to be approved at the second session of the VII Belarusian People’s Congress.
The socio-economic development program includes several priorities, and the BRSM sees young people as playing a key role in achieving them. “Because all priorites, from demographic security to tourism, human capital development, education quality, innovation and technology, will be implemented with the participation of young people. They are very active and propose their own ideas. We have a number of projects, for example 100 Ideas for Belarus. From their school years, students show how to create a product and introduce it into the real sector of the economy,” Aleksandr Davydovsky stated.
Such projects also exist and are presented on international platforms. “We recently traveled to Kazakhstan: the feedback was positive. People from abroad are interested: how can we invite you to work with us? As someone who represents the education system (I am a teacher by training), I am particularly interested in the development of human potential and high-quality education. I believe the formulation is correct: education must meet the interests and needs of the economy. That is the essence. The role of the teacher will not disappear: all new technologies and innovations pass through them. Teachers pass this knowledge on to children. Today school students already know about artificial intelligence and neural networks. In the future this will only grow, because the role of school teachers, as well as college and university instructors, is enormous: they are the ones who train personnel for the real sector of the economy,” he noted.
