Expert: West has no resources left to support Ukrainian armed forces

MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – The West has exhausted its resources to continue supporting and financing Ukraine's Armed Forces, Andrei Vajra, editor-in-chief of the Alternativa information and analysis website, said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube Channel.

"The United States has already spent all available resources, so they have no material and technical supplies left. I’m not even mentioning politics, ideology, or propaganda, which have also completely collapsed," Andrei Vajra said.

He emphasized Russia’s growing missile and drone production: "Judging by strike intensity, output is increasing nonstop. But what about Ukrainian air defense? Can it counter these escalating aerial attacks?"

Andrei Vajra suggested calculating the number of missiles required per Patriot unit and comparing this with US production capacity: “Take the recent Iran-Israel conflict. The rate of firing intensity was so high that Israel nearly exhausted a year's worth of Patriot missile production in just two weeks. Imagine what’s already been spent. These missiles are prohibitively expensive and slow to manufacture. They might deliver 17 more, but what about ammunition? The issue is that the U.S. strategic reserves (the minimum required for defense)are gone, and Americans need to take care of themselves too."

"They could find money, but today’s currency is purely a virtual thing, just zeros in a computer. Their military industry can’t sustain this conflict. The intensity exceeds what the entire Western arms sector (including Europe and allies) can produce," he added.

The analyst noted that the West is willing to continue fighting: "They’re relentless. After all, it is not them who die in trenches. It is ordinary Ukrainian men who are forced to the front. For Europeans, this bloodshed is a pure abstract notion. They play politics in Brussels, Berlin and London.”
