MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – There are four-tier conflict in Ukraine, Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science – Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The expert noted that victory on the Ukrainian front is important, but essentially, this is not a war in its commonly understood sense. “The special military operation is not the war. There are four tiers to this war. We all understand that this is a confrontation between the West and the East. I believe we all see this today, read the strategies, and understand the problems of the West and the East, the hegemon and what is happening. Second, it is a confrontation between NATO and the Russian Federation. Then there is the special military operation itself - the war between Ukraine and Russia. And the fourth level, which for some reason everyone overlooks, is the intra-Ukrainian level, the Ukrainian internal strife. We don’t really see it because it is invisible against the backdrop of these three levels. But as soon as peace is restored, believe me, this level will immediately become visible at full strength,” Andrei Bogodel believes.
Which sides within Ukraine are confronting each other? “Amid the internal Ukrainian processes, believe me, Russians and Ukrainians have not disappeared either -they are on both sides. Let's be honest, Crimea, Donbas, Kherson, and Zaporozhzhye regions were once (or still are) part of Ukraine, at least of that Ukraine, our Soviet Ukraine. Yes, we are reclaiming these lands. Yes, a priori, Ukraine is our entire territory, part of our civilizational realm. Absolutely ours. I believe that all of Ukraine must be reclaimed. Precisely this process of returning to its civilizational realm vs the aspiration to 'move toward the West will become the basis for confrontation within Ukraine.”
“Ukraine is divided into ‘correct’ Orthodox and ‘incorrect’ Orthodox. Then into some Greek Catholics. Then what language should they speak? After all, the people are already divided, and a divided people will inevitably start killing each other. There is nothing worse than a civil war and a religious war. I believe this is what awaits Ukraine. As long as they have some common enemy, as long as amidst this chaos, everything functions the way it does as we see today… The Territorial Recruitment Centers are conducting conscription, with their own punitive structures operating in Ukraine like a guillotine. As soon as this stops, we will see the next step,” the military expert emphasized.
Then the question arises: why are Zelensky and his European handlers so eager to continue the conflict in Ukraine? "Why is this 'coalition of the willing' so greedily trying to get involved there today? Why does Zelensky want this? Because they understand perfectly well that the Ukrainians will fight among themselves. They have far too many contradictions today, even more than we realize. But for some reason, this fourth level is being overlooked today,” Andrei Bogodel noted.
