Expert: Multipolar world will force West to live within its means

MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – The formation of a multipolar world will mean that Western countries will have to live within their means, the Ukrainian public figure Dmitry Vasilets said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“The world’s major economies that actually produce goods and services are China, India, Russia, and Belarus. We see that on the Latin American continent Brazil actively complemens all these aspects. Iran, of course, is a very strong economic power. Many countries follow this logic,” Dmitry Vasilets said.

According to the expert, the West understands this perfectly well. This factor also explains U.S. President Donald Trump’s calls to bring manufacturing back to the USA urgently. “But his efforts are largely unsuccessful. Even the Apple corporation is expanding its capital in India and China rather than moving factories to the USA. The corporation understands that there are no engineers in the USA, no technical expertise. And to develop it, it will take five, ten, or even 15 years,” he emphasized.

Dmitry Vasilets is convinced that the West is seriously lagging behind in economic terms compared to, for instance, the SCO or BRICS countries. “The future multipolar world, which is already taking shape, will mean that Western countries will have to live within their means. Previously, the United States simply printed dollars when they needed to buy something. Now this whole story is coming to an end, and alternative financial systems will force the West to live within its means. And they will have to try to produce goods and services on their own territory,” he believes.

In his words, this is a completely logical and natural process that will put an end to the parasitism of Western countries on humanity: “In the past, Western corporations made enormous profits out of thin air. Now this is coming to an end.”
