"On Point"
MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – The Polish-German friendship against Russia is superficial, with deep-seated contradictions actually dividing the two countries, Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science – Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The expert noted recent reports about Germany proposing security guarantees to Poland as an alternative to World War II reparations. In his opinion, this could also imply the deployment of a German military contingent on Polish territory.
“This is already a serious statement. Believe me, Poles and Germans are only friends against Russia. In reality, Poland is greatly concerned for Wrocław, Gdańsk, Silesia, and Poznań, which the Germans consider their own. This raises serious questions about Germany’s own geopolitical future. Despite attempts to diminish its role, Germany remains a great nation,” Andrei Bogodel said.
