Expert analyzes European pressure campaign against Zelensky

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) - Europeans are trying to rein in Vladimir Zelensky who is out of control and allows himself too much, editor-in-chief of the Alternativa information and analysis website Andrei Vajra said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s channel.

“Europeans are trying to subordinate Vladimir Zelensky, who has started seeing himself as an arbiter of destinies and is allowing himself too much. Vladimir Zelensky has slipped out of control and even gives instructions to Europeans. He thinks too highly of himself,” Andrei Vajra said.

To support his point, the expert referred to an investigation involving the former head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, Andrei Yermak, who is accused of laundering around $10 million during the construction of elite villas near Kiev. According to Andrei Vajra, the charges were brought by Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies established by the West and operating independently of Kiev. He believes the case against Yermak is linked to Europeans’ attempts to pressure Vladimir Zelensky.

“Europeans are trying to show Vladimir Zelensky his place. Now there are rumors that a criminal case may also be opened against his wife. Vladimir Zelensky has been tightly surrounded. Europeans are hinting that they have come very close to him. Yermak is already under investigation, his wife could come under investigation, and then Vladimir Zelensky,” Andrei Vajra said.

“If he does not obey, the tapes that show that Vladimir Zelensky is corrupt may be published. Moreover, he is at the top of the corruption pyramid,” he added.
