MOSCOW, 8 April (BelTA) - The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Cyberus Foundation for Cyber Security Development signed a memorandum of cooperation in information security. The document is aimed at improving the level of cyber security in the CSTO member states, BelTA learned from the press service of the organization.

The memorandum was signed by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and co-founder of the Cyberus Foundation Yury Maximov.

“The Secretariat and Cyberus plan to develop cooperation in the field of defense against cyber threats and share experience in introducing modern technologies in the management and protection systems of facilities important for national and regional security, as well as conduct joint scientific research. The parties will also cooperate in training cyber security specialists in the CSTO member states and are interested in improving legislation in this area,” the press service said.

“The signing of the memorandum creates a basis for expanding cooperation in the protection of critical facilities, training specialists and improving the regulatory framework. In the future, it will strengthen coordination between CSTO member states in countering cyber threats and increase the level of cyber resilience in the region,” Imangali Tasmagambetov said.

"Cyberspace knows no borders, and it is impossible to ensure security in the digital world alone. Effective protection requires international cooperation. That is why we actively cooperate with states, business and specialized organizations. Only by joining efforts and sharing best practices will we be able to create a sustainable and secure cyberspace for everyone,” Yury Maximov added.
