MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – The New Year’s address by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to the Belarusian nation will be both classic and unconventional. The Belarus president’s Press Secretary Natalya Eismont made the statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.
Natalya Eismont said: “Naturally, we already have the final version of the president’s New Year address. It will be classic if we consider the main form and yet unconventional if we look at a broader format. First of all, our slogan that we’ve been living with every day for the last six months is ‘Time of concrete deeds!’ The president shows it with his own example. And we wanted to remind people that this year has been the time of concrete deeds for the president. The year 2025 was a presidential year. We’ve found a format able to remind the viewers about it a bit.”
According to the press secretary, it is also intriguing what special words the president will address and to whom at the end of this year. “It is the moment that will get attention. The president hinted at and said what he wanted to say,” she noted.
The address will be traditionally laconic and it will contain a piece of news: the president will declare the theme of the next year. “There were many variants. And this year some of them have been put aside. Some have been discarded. I am absolutely convinced that the theme of the next year will hit everyone, will get everyone. For sure,” Natalya Eismont is convinced. “It will be a totally special year. It was a personal idea and proposal of the president.”
