CIS states to create common platform for training doctors

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) –  On 26 January, a meeting of the expert group was held at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) headquarters to finalize draft regulations regarding the designation of a basic organization for the continuing professional education of healthcare specialists, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

The group proposed granting this status to the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education.

The Academy is the Russian Federation’s largest center for additional and postgraduate medical training, encompassing educational, scientific, and methodological functions. Its structure comprises six faculties, 94 departments, a clinical facility, and several research institutes and specialized centers.

The meeting included representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee. Following discussions, the experts finalized and agreed upon the draft document, which is now slated for submission to the CIS Economic Council for further consideration.
