CEC: Lukashenko wins presidential election in Belarus with 5,136,293 votes

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) — Aleksandr Lukashenko has won the presidential election in Belarus with 5,136,293 votes, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko told the media at the Information Center on 27 January, BelTA has learned.
The following number of votes was cast for every candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Belarus:

Oleg Gaidukevich – 119,272 votes, or 2.02%;
Anna Kanopatskaya – 109,760 votes, or 1.86%;
Aleksandr Lukashenko – 5,136,293 votes, or 86.82%;
Sergei Syrankov – 189,740 votes, or 3.21%;
Aleksandr Khizhnyak – 102,789 votes, or 1.74%;
None of the above – 213,277 voters, or 3.60%.

“Thus, the largest number of votes was cast for Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko,” Igor Karpenko said.
