"On Point"
MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – The United States seeks to bankrupt the European manufacturing sector to turn Europe into a colony or a protectorate, Bulgarian political analyst Plamen Paskov said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“Donald Trump says: 'Let's make America great again.' But what does 'great' actually mean? It means bringing industrial and manufacturing power back to the United States. Right now, the U.S. businesses have their operations in China and other countries. Meanwhile, European industrial enterprises remain competitors to the dwindling number of U.S. manufacturers,” Plamen Pasov said. ‘Rather than reviving the U.S. industry through fair and principled competition, the United States is opting to simply eliminate its technological rival, namely the European Union.”
According to the political analyst, the U.S. views European nations primarily as markets for U.S. goods while believing Europe should not maintain its own industrial base. This approach, he argues, will inevitably push the region deeper into a debt trap. ‘The U.S. is turning Europe into a colony. Or even a protectorate, a mandated territory,” he emphasized.
Plamen Paskov believes this will be the European Union's inevitable trajectory within the next 5 to 10 years. Plans are in place, he added, to draw Western Europe into direct military confrontation with Russia by approximately 2030. Eastern Europe, the analyst warns, faces this fate even sooner.
