Belarusian woman hurt in traffic accident in Thailand in stable condition

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – A Belarusian citizen, who has been hurt as a result of a traffic accident in Thailand, is monitored by medics, in stable condition, and is getting the necessary medical aid, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The Belarusian embassy in Vietnam that also protects interests of Belarus citizens in Thailand is constantly in touch with the local authorities and the medical institution after the traffic accident, in which the Belarusian woman had been hurt.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 9 November an employee of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in Bangkok visited the injured woman. The employee was made familiar with the conditions of her stay in the hospital and talked to the medical personnel.

“According to the available information, the citizen is monitored by doctors in stable conditions and is getting the necessary medical aid. The embassy maintains communications with the relatives of the injured person and continues monitoring the developments,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

A traffic accident happened in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand on 8 November, as result of which citizens of Russia and Belarus were hurt. The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is also responsible for Thailand. The embassy stays in touch with Russian colleagues in Thailand. The Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Bangkok is involved in work on the situation.
