MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin met with Jason Derulo, the internationally renowned musician with an estimated fanbase of millions, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Welcoming the unusual guest at the government, Aleksandr Turchin spoke highly of the musician's career and impressive number of platinum discs.
Yes, I've been building my music career over the past 16 years, Jason Derulo said thanking the Belarusian prime minister for the opportunity to meet. "It's a tremendous honor for me," he emphasized.
Aleksandr Turchin invited the guest to the hall that hosts international delegations. He asked the musician what impressions he has of Minsk. “I would like to make my home here,” the musician replied with a smile. He noted the beauty around him and the high standard of living. 'I really like the people here. Everyone is very respectful. When I walked around the city, people approached me asking very politely to take photos. Very pleasant impression of the people. The food is very tasty. I really enjoyed everything I've tried here,” he added.
The prime minister noted that this is probably not the last visit of the musician to Minsk. "Of course not," he assured.
“If you decide to make it your home base, we are ready to assist,” Aleksandr Turchin said.
