MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – A large-scale emergency response drill has been completed at the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the press service of the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant told BelTA.
The press service noted: “A complex emergency response drill took place at the Belarusian nuclear power plant on 25-26 November. The personnel practiced operating in an off-nominal situation during the drill.”
The readiness for doing emergency response and rescue work, for monitoring radiation levels was checked as well as interaction with crisis centers of government agencies and international organizations.
As a result of the drill observers sent by oversight agencies praised the professionalism and prompt actions of the nuclear power plant’s personnel. Their profound knowledge and the ability to operate in accident situations were noted.
