MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) - Maintaining Air Force and Air Defense Force airfields in a state of readiness for aviation operations is under constant oversight, the Defense Ministry said.
More than 100 personnel and 40 pieces of equipment are working around the clock to clear runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas.
“The airfield maintenance units are equipped with the necessary amount of snow removal equipment and anti-icing agents. I response to requests from local authorities across various regions of Belarus, Air Force and Air Defense units have allocated over 200 military personnel and more than 15 pieces of equipment to assist in clearing the heavy snowfall,” stated Colonel Vladimir Nedolivko, Chief of Logistics - First Deputy Head of the Logistics Directorate of the Air Force and Air Defense.
