MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – A tactical exercise involving a unit of an air defense missile regiment took place in a military training area of the Air Force and Air Defense Command on 14 February, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The unit marched to the designated area and practiced switching the vehicles from a travelling configuration to the combat configuration, changing positions, and accomplishing air defense engagement tasks.
The training exercise proceeded in conditions resembling an actual combat as much as possible: the unit had to deal with sabotage and reconnaissance forces and drones, get across a polluted sector of terrain along barely passable routes while dealing with electronic countermeasures all the time. Weather conditions that were not characteristic of the region represented an additional complication.
