MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) - Major General Leonid Kasinsky, Assistant to the Belarusian Defense Minister for Ideological Work in the Armed Forces - Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work, met with a delegation from the Republic of Zimbabwe. The parties discussed cooperation in the information field, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
Leonid Kasinsky thanked the delegation for accepting the invitation to visit Belarus and expressed confidence that cooperation between Belarus and Zimbabwe would fruitfully develop and gain momentum.
“Belarus and Zimbabwe have been consistently defending their national interests. We share similar positions on many topical international issues: economic policies in our states and the unanimity of views on the establishment of a just world order based on multipolarity and non-interference in internal affairs,” Leonid Kasinsky emphasized. “At a time of the information war unleashed against our country, the information support of the Armed Forces' activities is becoming ever important”.
He noted that the information support system created in the Belarusian army ensures the dominance of the official information from the Defense Ministry in the media landscape of the country and beyond.
