MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Citizens of Poland are allowed to enter Belarus without visas starting 1 July 2022, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The decision to temporarily waive visas for Poland citizens was made by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko for the sake of maintaining good neighborly relations. The new procedure will come into effect at 00:00 on 1 July. Polish citizens will be able to travel to Belarus without getting visas through 31 December 2022.
The Belarusian border service said that Polish citizens will be able to cross the border without visas at Belarusian-Polish border checkpoints. Citizens of Poland will not need passes in order to travel to the border zone (a strip of land along the state border). While entering Belarus via a border crossing, citizens of Poland will have to tell a border service officer about their intention to visit the border zone and indicate what population centers they want to visit and why.
In order to enter Belarus, Polish citizens will need a valid document for foreign travels. It will also be important to have medical insurance. Those travelling by car will need green card insurance.
PCR test results or vaccination certificates are not required for crossing the Belarusian border.
More details about how foreigners can visit Belarus without visas are available on the Belarusian border service website and in the mobile app Belarusian Border.
