MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Dmitry Derevinsky met with Venezuela's Sectoral Vice President for Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health - Minister of Science and Technology Gabriela Servilia Jiménez Ramírez, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation in the field of science and technology, including in joint projects and exchange of practical experience. The discussion also touched upon the further development of the legal framework for cooperation.
Furthermore, the parties discussed holding a series of events in the near future with a view of strengthening bilateral contacts at the expert level. Consideration was also given to ensuring the effective implementation of joint initiatives in science and technology.
