MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Valentin Sukalo will take part in BRICS Chief Justices Forum which will be held in Sochi, Russia from 17 to 21 June 2024, BelTA learned from the press service of the Supreme Court.
The forum is set to discuss issues related to ensuring the uniformity of judicial practice, judicial protection of social rights of citizens, the use of technologies in judicial processes, the harmonization of the legislation of the BRICS member states, the protection of investors' rights, and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in criminal proceedings.
The chief justices of China, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa and India are expected to attend.
The forum participants will be informed about the experience of Belarus in ensuring the uniformity of judicial practice.
The press service noted that the participation of the chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus in the forum will contribute to the spread of accurate information about Belarus and its judicial system, will help promote professional ties and expand cooperation with the judicial authorities of the member states of the forum, and exchange experience in solving topical legal issues.
