MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarus attended the first international conference “Health Tourism Bridges – Health Diplomacy and Innovation Summit” in Izmir, Türkiye, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Türkiye.
The forum brought together leading experts in the medical industry, professors and scientists, representatives of diplomatic missions, specialists in innovative technologies, and medical tourism from 60 countries. Belarusian medicine was presented by Tatiana Murzina, head of the medical rehabilitation department and the center for traditional Chinese medicine at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, and Vasily Garashchenko, sports medicine physician with the department for coordination of medical support for national teams at the National Research and Treatment Center for Sports.
The opportunities of Belarus' medical sector, innovative treatment and diagnostic methods available in our country, including for foreign citizens, were extensively presented to Turkish and foreign participants. Agreements were reached to develop joint projects in medical tourism with promising Turkish partners. To promote domestic products, conference participants were presented with samples of sports nutrition from OAO Bellakt and dietary supplements from VitusPharm and NIKA line-up produced by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
In Izmir, the Belarusian medical delegation conducted negotiations with Istanbul's Medipol University Hospital to establish cooperation, exchange physicians, and share experience in the field of medical innovations.
