PUKHOVICHI DISTRICT, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are joining forces to develop biotechnologies. The relevant memorandums of cooperation were signed on the sidelines of the Union State Biotechnology Forum that took place at premises of ZAO Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC), BelTA has learned.
The documents consolidate the intentions of the parties to develop partnership, exchange experience, and implement joint initiatives in science, production, and technological development. In particular, areas of cooperation have been identified between ZAO BNBC, ADAM-BIO, Premix Plant No.1, the National Feed Union of Russia within the framework of the Soyuzbiotech association as well as with PAO Cherkizovo Group and OOO VOSTOK PROM.
Lev Dengov, shareholder, member of the BNBC Supervisory Board and founder of Adam Bio, noted that the concept of the Soyuzbiotech association, which was registered in Russia not so long ago, implies joint work to achieve technological sovereignty and action coordination.
“Import substitution is a significant and important area for us today. We are working to unite biotechnologists of the enterprises under the roof of one applied research center,” he explained. Special attention is paid to the production of the vitamins agriculture needs.
BNBC Director General Sergei Lozhechnik noted that the signing of the documents was an important practical result of the forum and confirmation of the parties’ readiness for further constructive interaction. “Such cooperation allows industrial projects to develop sustainably, expand markets, better understand consumers, and respond faster to demands,” he said.
BNBC is a leading enterprise in the field of biotechnologies, specializing in the production of feed additives, amino acids, veterinary drugs, and biologically active substances. The main manufacturing facilities of the corporation allow it to make a wide range of products both for the domestic market and for export. The enterprise actively participates in the implementation of state programs for the development of the agro-industrial complex.
