MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – The forest restoration campaign entitled Bringing Forests Back to Life will be held across Belarus on 11-31 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Forestry Ministry.
This initiative to restore Belarusian forests will take place in all regions of the country, with particular focus on areas damaged by windfalls and storms. The campaign will be dedicated to the Year of Improvement.
“The symbolism is important, as exactly one year ago, on 11 October, the first stage of the Bringing Forests Back to Life campaign was personally opened by the head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko. A campaign under this name has now been held twice, engaging tens of thousands of volunteers over the time,” the Forestry Ministry said.
