MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – India makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the system of international relations. Belarusian Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev mentioned it on 26 January at a festive event marking India’s national holiday – Republic Day, BelTA has learned.
“India is the cradle and heir of ancient civilizations, a crossroads of different cultures with unique traditions and flavors, a dynamically and sustainably developing country. Over 77 years of independent development India has achieved serious heights, becoming an authoritative and influential member of the world community. India not only leads in economic and social development, but is also an active member of the United Nations Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, G20, and other influential international organizations,” Aleksandr Khodzhayev emphasized.
He pointed out that the celebration is particularly significant given that India assumed the presidency of BRICS in January 2026. “Of course, we wish India success in its work to strengthen and give new impetus to the development of this important association. The priorities identified by India for this year within BRICS – innovation, response to challenges, cooperation and sustainable development – perfectly reflect the invaluable contribution to the harmonious development of the system of international relations. And as a BRICS partner country Belarus is ready for active interaction with India in these key areas,” the minister stressed.
He pointed out that Belarus closely monitors what is going on in India and is sincerely glad about its successes and achievements. Belarus is always ready to support the initiatives of Indian friends not only at international platforms and forums, but also in a bilateral format.
