Belarus' PM completes official visit to Qatar

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko completed his official visit to Qatar, BelTA has learned.

“Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi came to see off the prime minister at the airport. The government delegation is on its way to Minsk,” the press service of the Belarusian government said.

The government delegation headed by Roman Golovchenko was on an official visit to Qatar on 22-23 February. The Belarusian prime minister held informal meetings with members of Qatar’s ruling family and representatives of Qatar’s business. Roman Golovchenko also held some other high-level meetings.
According to the prime minister, Qatar is willing to work with Belarus in all areas. “Today we discussed a number of matters behind closed doors: money loves silence. The interest is very great. We just needed to get up-to-date with the current state of affairs in Qatar. Trends, interests and approaches are changing. New people are coming in and they may not be very familiar with the history of our cooperation. So, we did a very great job,” Roman Golovchenko stated.
