Belarus' Liza Misnikova compares Junior Eurovision to adventure

GLIWICE, 21 November (BelTA) – Liza Misnikova, Belarus' contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, views the song contest as a big adventure. She shared her impressions of the competition with a BelTA journalist.

“The Junior Eurovision contest has a special vibe. It is a huge adventure for me and I will cherish memories about it my entire life. I am enjoying every moment,” Liza Misnikova said.

The young singer feels comfortable on the main stage of the music contest - Arena Gliwice. “I was a bit nervous during the first rehearsal, but I became much more confident at the second one. I feel comfortable on stage, because it is magical. It is hard to guess preferences of the European audience. Therefore, what we will do is to perform at our best. I am sure we will be able to do it,” Liza Misnikova said.

The first set of delegations took to the stage of Gliwice Arena for their second rehearsal on 21 November. Liza Misnikova was among them. During this rehearsal organizers will select a clip of each performance that will be used for recap in the online voting. Liza Misnikova's postcard was shot in Gliwice the other day. This postcard will precede her performance in the grand final.

The remaining group of contestants will have their second rehearsal on 22 November. A press conference for official delegations from all the participating countries and a dress rehearsal are scheduled for 23 November. On 24 November young hopefuls from 19 countries will take to the stage of Arena Gliwice at the grand final. These are performers from Australia, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine, Wales, France and the competition host Poland.

The grand final will be broadcast live by the Belarus 1 TV channel and the Belarus 24 international satellite channel, as well as by the website of the Belarusian Television and Radio Company. The show will be commented by Belarus 1 host Evgeny Perlin. Australia will open the show and Serbia will close the contest. Belarus was drawn in position 7.

A reminder, starting from 22 November, Belarusians will be able to vote for Liza Misnikova's entry Pepelny (Ashen) on the official website of the song contest www.junioreurovision.tv. Voters are required to watch a recap of all the rehearsal performances before they can cast a vote. This first round of voting closes on Sunday 24 November at 15:59 CET, just before the live show. Each voter needs to select at least 3 songs, and no more than 5, to cast a valid vote. Viewers can also vote for their own country's song.

All rights related to the broadcast of the show in Belarus belong exclusively to the Belarusian Television and Radio Company as the country's only member of the European Broadcasting Union. The theme of this year's contest is Share The Joy.
