MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Latvia have signed an agreement on cooperation in the defense sector, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“The document was signed during the official visit of Belarus' Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov to Latvia on 5-6 December. The program of the visit envisaged meetings with Latvian Minister of Defense Raimonds Bergmanis and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics. The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including bilateral military cooperation. An agreement was signed at the end of the meeting between Defense Ministry of Belarus and the Latvian Ministry of Defense on cooperation in the defense sector,” the press service said.
The Belarusian delegation also visited a school in the city of Cesis that trains instructors for the National Armed Forces of Latvia.
