MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – According to forecasts from the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Belarus is expected to welcome over 8 million foreign tourists and excursionists in 2025, Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism Oleg Andreichik told the ONT television channel, as reported by BelTA.
Belarus continues to strengthen its position on the international tourism map. “In the first nine months of this year, tourism service exports amounted to $295 million. This is 43% more than in the same period last year. For comparison, the figure for the entire year of 2024 was $268 million, which was a record,” Oleg Andreichik informed.
The most popular tourism segments in the country include historical and cultural travel, spa and resort treatments, agro- and ecotourism, as well as industrial tourism. In the first nine months of 2025 alone, 202,000 foreign tourists vacationed at Belarusian sanatoriums, which represents an increase of 11,000 over the same period the previous year.
In anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the seasonal calendar “Winter in the Republic of Belarus 2025-2026” has been compiled. Information on 159 events designed for various age and social groups – from children’s programs to family vacations – is now available on official tourism websites.
According to Oleg Andreichik, the upcoming winter season will feature numerous new events and tourism products expected to appeal to both Belarusians and international visitors.
