MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) - Diplomats of the Embassy of Belarus in China took part in the 3rd Conference on over-the-counter medicines, held within the framework of the 8th Belt and Road Forum on the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, BelTA learned from the Belarusian foreign mission in Beijing.
The event was dedicated to expanding international cooperation in the production of over-the-counter medicines of traditional Chinese medicine. The Belarusian delegation presented a report on the achievements of Belarus’ pharmaceutical industry, regulatory framework, and potential in this field.
Participants included representatives from five countries as well as major pharmaceutical brands. They learned about the investment opportunities offered by the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, along with special conditions created in the park for medical activities, state registration of medicines, dietary supplements, and medical devices.
The Belarusian representatives, in turn, became acquainted with the latest achievements of Chinese pharmaceuticals, particularly in the development and production of over-the-counter medicines and traditional Chinese medicine products. Participation in the event contributed to identifying new growth points for Belarus-China cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
