MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - The Armed Forces will always be a reliable guarantor of peace, stability and security, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said in his congratulatory message on the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus marked on 23 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“We always celebrate this holiday of courage and valor with a special pride for our soldiers, who have always reliably ensured the defense capability of the country and continue to protect the borders of our Motherland,” Viktor Khrenin said.
The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The defense minister addressed words of gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Their heroism, courage, and readiness to sacrifice in the name of peace, freedom and happiness of others left an indelible mark in the history of the country. The ministry stressed that the Fatherland Defenders Day is a holiday of all those who continue the work of the generation of the victors and reliably ensured the country's security in the peaceful years, who fulfilled their international duty and nowadays ensure the security of Belarus.
“True to the traditions of the older generations, nowadays the successors of the liberators-heroes reliably protect the Republic of Belarus and guarantee the Belarusian people the right to the future in accordance with their historical choice. The Armed Forces will always be a reliable guarantor of peace, stability and security. We honor all our citizens who strengthen the potential of Belarus in various areas through their labor,” Viktor Khrenin emphasized.
