Belarus attends Global Women's Summit in Beijing

MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - A delegation of the Belarusian Women's Union is taking part in the Global Women's Summit in Beijing, the Belarus 1 TV channel reported.

Belarus and China maintain close cooperation between business communities and also among women's associations. Work is underway on possible projects to set up joint digital platforms to promote women's businesses, startups, and educational programs. Interesting innovations in digital medicine are also on the agenda, with a focus on women's health and happy motherhood and childhood.

"Digitalization in women's business is also interesting. We would like to share digital platforms where both Chinese and Belarusian businesses can network and grow closer," said Olga Shpilevskaya, Chairwoman of the Belarusian Women's Union. "Marketplaces are certainly of interest to us because we can showcase our products, and that is also important for us."

Olga Shpilevskaya expressed hope for the emergence of common educational platforms where people can share their developments in the fields of education and medicine. "Technologies are actively making their way into medicine, and quick exchanges of experience with the help of digital technologies are always beneficial for everyone,” Olga Shpilevskaya noted.

The Global Women's Summit gathered representatives from over 150 countries, including heads of governments, MPs, and leaders of key ministries. The event was hailed as a new chapter in the development of the women's world, and it was ceremonially opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
