Andreichenko opines on what makes Lukashenko strong

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – The strength of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko lies in his determination to put words into action, former Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said as he shared his recollections as part of the documentary “One for All” released by the Belarusian TV channel ONT on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the institution of the presidency in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

“I believe that his strength lies in walking the talk. What is said is always done,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.

Former Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich emphasized that it was Aleksandr Lukashenko who built a full-fledged Belarusian state and placed it on the political world map. The opinion of Belarus is taken into account and its economic successes and political initiatives are acknowledged by the world.

“We always need a leader - a person who leads the nation and is responsible for everything. This is not easy,” former chairwoman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina noted.

“The Republic of Belarus was incredibly lucky, it is like winning a lottery. Or maybe the stars aligned, or maybe all together. There must be one architect for any project (and we are talking about state building),” said Chairman of the Standing Committee for Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic Sergei Sivets.

“Lukashenko made all the decisions. If someone disagrees, they should tell me what decision he did not make or how things could have been done better. After all, at the end of the day, all our  production facilities are in our hands,” said Sergei Gaidukevich who led the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus in 1995-2019.
