MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) - The West's breaking point is where Slavs are just getting started, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“We are seeing negotiations on equal terms taking place between the West and the East, where Moscow, for the first time perhaps in the 21st century while participating in resolving various conflict situations, has its own position, which it defends to the end, guided solely by its national interests from a historical perspective,” Serghei Banari said.
In this situation, according to the analyst, the West is using Ukraine exclusively as a bargaining chip in its confrontation with Russia.
“The West is doomed to defeat by Russia for one simple reason: where the West's breaking point ends, for the Russians, it hasn't even begun. You can replace the word ‘Russians’ with ‘Slavs’ and you will see that this thesis can be elevated to an axiom. Because, at a minimum, over the past 300 years, we have three practical proofs, no matter what they do, they still end up weaker than us. This is true spiritually, culturally, and militarily, because the inner fortitude and the core strength we have, they have never possessed and never will,” the expert stressed.
