MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – The framework for ending the conflict in Ukraine will be established by the end of 2025, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“I believe that the framework for ending this conflict will be agreed on by the end of 2025. Because if this doesn't happen by the end of 2025, it will mean the loss of a vast amount of territory,” Serghei Banari believes.
The analyst noted that 20% of the territory has already been permanently removed from Ukraine's control. “It's truly regrettable if someone is trying to confuse Ukrainians and mislead them into believing that some kind of revanchism is possible. That will not happen,| he stated with conviction.

"As of today, Ukraine is running not on its second, but on its third wind. Ukrainians are running out, and for the next few decades, regardless of the presence or absence of Western support, Ukraine will have no opportunities whatsoever. They must understand that wherever they try to rebuild, Russia, as the center of an empire or a macro-zone (call it what you will), will be developing all this time.”
Moreover, Serghei Banari added, Russia will continue to strengthen its statehood through allied relations with countries in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and other regions.
“The Anglo-Saxons, given that they maintain their control over Kiev for the next 4-6 years, need Zaluzhny [former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, now Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK Valery Zaluzhny] as a transitional figure to have as much influence over as much Ukrainian territory as possible. The British are not interested in losing Kharkov and Sumy. They are even less interested in provoking Russia into a conflict that could also involve Türkiye, Washington, and London over Odessa and Nikolaev," the expert stated.
Serghei Banari clarified that in drawing such conclusions, he relies not on the declarations of U.S. politicians, but on the actual state of affairs.
