LYUBAN DISTRICT, 16 January (BelTA) - Inspections of military units help identify nuances that need correction, Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Vasily Gerasimov told the media on 16 January, BelTA has learned.
“Everyone should be in good shape, not just the Armed Forces. Therefore, on the instructions of the head of state, the State Secretariat of the Security Council together with the State Control Committee systematically inspects military units. Moreover, we have a practice of re-inspecting units. In this particular case, not all deficiencies were rectified,” said Vasily Gerasimov.

The head of the State Control Committee noted that such measures allow for identifying and correcting existing nuances: “We strive for everything to be as it should be. There are positive aspects, and there are nuances that need correcting. This is a normal process; we need to work on this.”
As BelTA previously reported, a large-scale, comprehensive inspection of the Armed Forces began on 16 January, on the instructions of the president of Belarus. It consists of several stages.
The inspection is being conducted, among other things, with consideration of Russian experience from the special military operation and its implementation within the troops. Among other aspects, the organization of security at military units and readiness to counter modern means of attack, particularly unmanned aerial vehicles, will be checked.
