MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Belarus is ready for mutually beneficial cooperation and is pursuing agreements on that basis, a stance reaffirmed during the talks between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale, member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich told BelTA.
“Our president’s words are consistent with his deeds,” stated Vyacheslav Danilovich. “He has repeatedly emphasized that we are open to mutually beneficial cooperation and to concluding win-win deals. The release of another 123 prisoners from various countries demonstrates that Belarus is interested in cooperation with other nations, yet, it is contingent on reciprocal and mutually advantageous engagement.”
According to the parliamentarian, the U.S. decision to lift sanctions on Belarusian potash demonstrates a constructive and pragmatic stance from the American leadership, to which Belarus is responding with reciprocal steps.
“Lifting sanctions on Belarusian potash is undoubtedly significant not only for Belarus but also for ensuring broader access to potash fertilizers for other nations,” the MP noted. “Furthermore, this will contribute to greater price stability for these fertilizers on the global market and will enhance food security.”
