MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Around 120 Belarusian servicemen will participate in a joint exercise with the CSTO peacekeeping forces Indestructible Brotherhood 2025 and a special exercise Barrier 2025 in Tajikistan, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
During the exercises, Belarusian troops will actively work on tasks related to maintaining peace and security in the Central Asian region. Special attention will be given to improving skills in the use of modern equipment and technologies under rapidly changing operational conditions.
The Belarusian contingent is led by Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces Aleksei Yelfimov. “Belarusian peacekeepers completed a flight of more than 4,600 km in six hours and successfully landed in Tajikistan, where they were met with traditional hospitality. After unloading, the personnel moved to the Fakhrabad training ground to carry out their tasks,” he said. “The peacekeeping company of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade has extensive experience in participating in various activities both in Belarus and abroad, in CSTO member states. The personnel have repeatedly taken part in similar exercises. I am confident that our peacekeepers will successfully accomplish all the tasks set during the drills.”
