A winter’s grip: Belarus digs out after snowstorm

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Overnight and into the early morning, more than 1,950 housing and utilities workers and roughly 800 specialized vehicles cleared snow from streets and roads across Belarus, BelTA reports citing the Ministry of Housing and Utilities.

Utility crews are working around the clock to ensure the safety and mobility of pedestrians and drivers, with the street and road network under constant monitoring.

As of 8:00 a.m., a total of 795 utilities vehicles were in operation nationwide. This fleet included 252 salt and sand spreaders, 258 snowplows, and 285 loaders, snow blowers, and other support vehicles.
