MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) - Journalists got a sneak peek at what Aleksandr Lukashenko wrote in his notebook before the solemn assembly on the occasion of Victory Day. The handwritten theses of the head of state were shown on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA learned.
"We go to these monuments and take children to them, we teach them the history of the war at school," the president wrote.
"We collect the facts of victories and horrors in museums bit by bit," the notebook indicated.
The president was finalizing the theses of his speech while the guests were gathering. Journalists managed to sneak a peek at some of the notes.
"We go to these monuments and take children to them, we teach them the history of the war at school," the president wrote.
"We collect the facts of victories and horrors in museums bit by bit," the notebook indicated.

Another entry looks like this: "Maybe we shouldn't...? What's the point of all this? Let the dead rest in peace." It was this thesis of the president that became one of the strongest and most memorable in his speech.

"We are doing all this so that it does not happen again" another page reads.
