Lukashenko to visit Minsk City Technical Creativity Center for Children and Youth

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit the Minsk City Technical Creativity Center for Children and Youth on 17 October, BelTA has learned.

The center will host an official opening ceremony. The head of state will be briefed on the children and youth extracurricular education system in Minsk and on the prospects for developing technical creativity. The president will be shown specific technical complexes, robotics equipment, and student projects.

Aleksandr Lukashenko will tour the center's infrastructure, visiting laboratories dedicated to various fields of innovative technical creativity. He will also be shown demonstration runs of radio-controlled car models and a practical session on operating unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Minsk City Technical Creativity Center for Children and Youth has been established on the site of the former Vostochny bus station. The building was reconstructed and outfitted with necessary equipment. The center occupies premises with a total area of over 7,200 square meters.

The center features 18 instructional laboratories for various fields of innovative technical creativity. These include air- and rocket-modeling, automotive and motorcycle technology, ship modeling, robotics, the design and operation of drones, architecture and industrial design, programming, mechatronics, and energy. The grounds next to the center feature dedicated outdoor areas.
