
MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit Russia on 29 April, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
During his working visit, Aleksandr Lukashenko, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, will take part in the Belarus-Russia Union State international forum “Great Heritage - Common Future” in Volgograd. The forum's main goal is to preserve and protect the historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War.
Attending the forum will also be Belarusian parliamentarians, representatives of public organizations, university rectors, school and gymnasium headteachers, heads of patriotic educational centers, scientists, and members of the Youth Council (parliament) under the National Assembly of Belarus.
The Belarusian leader is set to lay flowers at the Mamayev Kurgan memorial complex commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad.
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are expected to hold a meeting to discuss pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, the regional situation and the international agenda.
