BREST OBLAST, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to get familiar with domestic developments of the military industrial complex at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training area in Brest Oblast on 21 October, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will be shown unmanned aerial vehicles and other weapons, military and special-purpose equipment of the Armed Forces and developed by domestic military industrial organizations.
Aleksandr Lukashenko will also get familiar with the combat capabilities of weapons, military and special-purpose equipment: the combat use of drones, the use of multi-level automated control system of battalion tactical group.
Aleksandr Lukashenko announced his intention to study the topic and the latest military industrial developments of domestic scientists and designers during the meeting with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov on 18 October. “Our drones are a very relevant topic, and we will talk about it on Friday. How do you compete in this area with applied science and enterprises developing new drones? This is a very important area, keeping in mind the lessons of the war in Ukraine,” the head of state said.
