Lukashenko talks about private discussion of CIS leaders, USA’s presently topical proposals

DUSHANBE, 10 October (BelTA) – While talking to reporters of Channel One Russia, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared some details of the meeting the CIS heads of state had in private after a CIS summit in Dushanbe on 10 October, BelTA has learned.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin previously stated that he would inform his counterparts from the CIS states about results of the Anchorage meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in detail and in private. The relevant statement was made at the session of the CIS Heads of State Council in Dushanbe.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: “Yes, he has presented detailed information, including about Alaska, about the agreements, about the situation before and after Alaska.”

The reporters wondered whether the Belarusian leader could share any new details. “I guess you know everything. The conversation focused on proposals of the United States of America back then and Putin confirmed it. On the USA’s proposals concerning Ukraine, not Russia’s,” the Belarus president said.

“Are they still up-to-date? On the table?” the reporter asked for clarification.

“They will always be up-to-date. If they are accepted today, then the war will stop today. If tomorrow, then tomorrow,” the head of state believes.
