Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Uzbekistan

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The years of sovereignty of Uzbekistan have been marked by outstanding achievements, including sustainable economic growth, large-scale social transformations and well-deserved recognition of the country on the world stage. Today, Tashkent makes a significant contribution to global security and stability in Central Asia, putting forward constructive initiatives,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state expressed confidence that Belarus-Uzbekistan relations, based on long-standing friendship between peoples, will only grow stronger both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations and regional associations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Shavkat Mirziyoyev good health, well-being, the implementation of all plans, and the people of Uzbekistan - happiness and prosperity.
