
MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“India is marking this holiday today as the world’s most dynamic major economy. Your country is confidently moving forward, preserving its cultural identity while strengthening its international standing. Achievements in technology, education, and exports serve as an example for other nations,” the message to the Indian president reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the dialogue between Minsk and New Delhi is yielding results, highlighting a positive trend in the growth of bilateral trade in goods and services.
“On this solemn occasion, I would like to reiterate my invitation for you to visit Minsk at a convenient time to explore Belarus’ potential across various sectors and identify promising avenues for international cooperation,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
In his message of greetings to the Indian prime minister, the Belarusian president acknowledged the active efforts to build an economic and political foundation for elevating the two countries to a strategic partnership. Favorable conditions have been established to boost trade and economic ties, with progress made in implementing joint projects, key drivers of bilateral cooperation, including in industrial, pharmaceutical, and defense sectors.
“I am confident that we will continue to make every possible effort to expand our ties through the successful implementation of joint projects,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added. “I look forward to meeting with you next year at the BRICS platform in the Indian capital.”
